this month's hot trader joe's finds!

“I know you’re a Trader Joe’s girl!” is something I get a lot (and, for the record, I consider it a compliment!). There’s nothing I love more than going to the grocery store, and shopping at Trader Joe’s takes my favorite pastime to the next level. You really cannot beat their prices, and the BEST part is the ever-changing stock of one-of-a-kind products! Seriously, everytime I go it feels like a brand new experience - which is likely what keeps me (and other loyal customers) always  coming back for more!

I’m not making many trips to the grocery store these days, but my most recent TJ’s run was so epic I have to share! Hearing the cashier say “Wow! This is new!” to the products in my basket is music to my ears. It makes me feel so in-the-know, and I care so deeply that you’re in-the-know with me 😜

Here are 10 products I picked up that blew me away and I would 1000% recommend you try.

I once made the mistake of putting almond butter & jelly on one of these - don’t do that. These thins are the perfect option for savory toppings, my favorite being Rao’s tomato sauce + cottage cheese (broiled for ~10 minutes to crisp - YUM!). Nutritional yeast is another bonus ingredient that gives these veggie-based bread alternatives 9g of protein per serving!

Is there any easier lunch than a salad kit? A lot of times you’ll get a bunch of high sugar/high calorie toppings, but not with this! Arugula, carrots, almonds, parmesan cheese, and a light basil lemon vinaigrette is all that’s included. Perfect on it’s own, on a sandwich, in a wrap… the possibilities are endless.

Not a new product, but one that I think is highly underrated. Endives are a fun lower calorie alternative to chips, and are great for spreading hummus or tzatziki and eating as a snack! Give these a shot on your next veggie tray.

Spicy Cashew Butter Dressing

Every time I think I’ve found my new favorite dressing, TJ’s one-up’s it. At only 40 calories per serving, this minimal ingredient dressing would give a delicious asian flare to any dish your heart desires. I’d suggest still measuring this out, because it’s good enough to eat by the spoonful.

Watermelon Jerky

I love dried fruit as a pre-workout snack, but it’s so hard to find options that don’t have added sugar. This product is watermelon only, but it’s sweet enough that you’d think otherwise. If you’re looking for a light, crunchy snack that will withstand the Summer heat, this is it.

I may buy multiple bags of this just in case it’s discontinued. I don’t even like bananas, and I’ll vouch for this stuff being amazing. It’s savory, which is not quite what you’d expect, and tastes even more delicious when mixed with popcorn.

Feta, Pepper Drop, and Olive Antipasto

Secret’s out: I eat cheese plates for dinner, and this antipasto mix adds a depth of flavor at such a low-cost! This item is not low in fat or calories, so be mindful of your serving size. The good news is, peppers and olives pack a tiny punch of fiber! Serve with GG crackers, veggies, add some protein, and you’re set.

Sparkling Black Tea with Peach Juice

I love that Trader Joe’s offers so many low-calorie beverages - sometimes you just need something other than plain water. This tea is only slightly effervescent, and is flavored with peach juice, so there’s no artificial taste. At only 15 calories per can - this is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up!

Each bar has 14g protein, 12g fiber, and is vegan and gluten free. I cannot wait to share this find with my clients! Only chocolate fudge brownie and peanut butter chocolate chip are available right now, but I’m hoping these stay on the shelf and more flavors are added to the fleet!

THE BEST light alternative to strawberry ice cream that you’ll find. Pureed strawberries & oat clusters give this 100 calorie treat a satisfying texture that other ice cream alternatives often lack. Grab a box to enjoy before Summer ends!
